Morton, MN – November 18 through December 18, 2011, Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel hosted a promotion to collect non-perishable food items for area food banks. Jackpot Junction offered FREE Play to Express Club members that participated.
A total of 7.4 tons of food was collected with over 5,000 people participating; bringing in close to 20,000 food items.
The food donations collected have been delivered to several area food shelf locations, including the Redwood Area Food Shelf, Renville County Food Shelf, Brown County Food Shelf, Cottonwood County Food Shelf and the Lower Sioux Food Agency.
